As the state of Florida and the rest of the country begin to reopen there is still a lot of uneasiness that Floridians are currently dealing with. Many people are still unsure of what to think or how to feel when it comes to their day to day lives. RE Appraisals wants to ease our clients and potential customer’s consciences.
Even as things begin to reopen and people are starting to feel more relaxed about their safety precautions, we are making sure to continue to be strict and diligent when it comes to the wellbeing of our clients for our Port Charlotte appraisals.
What RE Appraisals is Doing to Protect You
Firstly, we are taking every precaution to make sure that we are keeping our clients and our employees safe. The first example being our two options for providing quick and accurate appraisals.
RE Appraisals is currently offering our standard in-home appraisal option as well as an online option.
For anyone who is wanting to continue practicing physical distancing or is showing any signs of illness our online appraisal option is the best idea for you.
Virtual online appraisals are incredibly easy to conduct and take far less time than most people assume. It is truly as simple as using a video chat service on your phone to conduct a walkthrough of the property. After doing the video walk through we will then ask you to take some clear photos with your camera (your phone camera should work perfectly fine for these photos).
Once you have taken the photos of the property you will then send them to our team. We will not need to show up to the property at all in order to finish the appraisal. After we have the photos and have conducted the video walk through our dedicated team will then use the photos to help find comparable homes in the area as well as public records, aerial images, plat maps and more to help provide you with a quick and accurate online appraisal.
Online appraisals are also for anyone who might not have the time to set up a face to face meeting or for anyone who would simply prefer the convenience of a virtual appraisal. We have offered online appraisals for a while even before the outbreak of COVID-19. So if you want a professional and expert appraiser who is well versed in what it takes to conduct a quick and accurate virtual appraisal, we are here to help you.
RE appraisals is still currently conducting in-home appraisals for our clients. We take the safety of our clients as well as the safety of our team incredibly seriously. That is why we have started taking safety measures to help prevent any spread of COVID-19.
If anyone on our appraisal team is showing indications of being ill or if they have a fever they will be unable to conduct in-home appraisals and will not be permitted to come to the office.
As our clients we would appreciate if you would be so kind as to reschedule any in-home appraisals if you have a fever or if you are showing any signs of illness. (Don’t forget we can always do an online appraisal instead.)
As far as quarantine restrictions go, if any of our staff has come into contact with anyone who has tested positive for COVID-19 they will be immediately quarantined. Any of their appointments will need to be done by a different appraiser or will need to be rescheduled.
Anytime one of our team members is going to conduct an in-home appraisal we will first ask the property owner if they want us to come in. Even if you have already scheduled an in-home appraisal and if you at any point feel uneasy or uncomfortable you can ask us to leave the building and we can simply conduct an exterior only inspection or proceed with an online appraisal.
Once the owner has stated they want us to come in for the appraisal walkthrough we will be sure to put on face masks as well as shoe coverings to ensure the safety of our clients.
We do ask that prior to our scheduled in-home appraisal that our clients please sanitize high contact surfaces around the property. This includes things such as counters, door handles, and light switches. This will help protect our dedicated appraisal team.
Lastly, when moving around the property from one room to the next we would appreciate it if the homeowner would be able to open any doors and turn on any lights to minimize surface contact for our the appraisers. If the homeowner cannot we will use sanitizer wipes to open any doors or turn on any lights.
